Pet Shipping

Our shipping process

We offer shipping as an option and take care of all the arrangements, as we often find loving homes for our puppies that are not within easy driving distance. You may be wondering, “Is flying a puppy safe?” That’s a common question, and we wouldn’t even consider it if it wasn’t completely secure.

Before choosing a shipping service, we thoroughly research their reputation to ensure they meet our standards. We only book flights with trusted airlines that have pet-friendly programs and adhere to USDA regulations. Your puppy will travel in the same air-conditioned space as the pilots, with a dedicated pet nanny ensuring their comfort throughout the journey. We never place our puppies in cargo; instead, they are flown in the passenger section until they reach their new home.

While shipping a puppy may seem worrisome, our years of experience have shown us how to make the process smooth and stress-free. We carefully prepare each puppy for the trip, ensuring they remain as comfortable as possible. Airlines are highly committed to the welfare of pets, as any mistreatment could lead to legal issues and customer dissatisfaction. To keep our puppies well-fed and hydrated, we attach feeding instructions to the crate, include frozen water that melts gradually, and make sure they have food for the journey.

Most flights take between 4 to 6 hours, and we always confirm flight details, including layovers or potential delays, so we can track the puppy’s journey and provide updates. Typically, puppies arrive the same day they depart—usually within a few hours. Inside their crate, they’ll find soft bedding made of shredded newspaper, a pig’s ear chew (which they love), and a toy or item with a familiar scent to help them feel at ease.

When arranging a flight, we prioritize direct routes, just as you would when booking travel for yourself. Thanks to our careful planning, our puppies have consistently arrived safely and happily at their new homes.

Studies have even shown that a short 2-6 hour flight is far less stressful for a puppy than a long car ride exceeding four hours, especially in non-air-conditioned conditions. Additionally, working with professional pet transporters ensures that your new furry companion travels safely and comfortably every step of the way.
